Space Technology Hall of Fame

Created by the Space Foundation in 1988, the Space Technology Hall of Fame recognizes the life-changing technologies emerging from the world's space programs. The foundation honors the scientists, engineers and innovators responsible for these technologies, and communicates to the public the importance of these technologies as a return on investment in space exploration. Synthecon, Incorporated was inducted into the Space Technology Hall of Fame in 2011.

R&D 100 

Established in 1963 by the editors of R&D Magazine, the annual R&D 100 awards are given to newly introduced  technologies that have been recognized among the year's 100 most significant products, materials, processes, software or systems with commercial promise. Several of the R&D 100 awardees have become widely used items that impact everyday life including the automated teller machine (1973), the halogen lamp (1974), the fax machine (1975), the liquid crystal display (1980), the Nicoderm anti-smoking patch (1992), Taxol anticancer drug (1993), and HDTV (1998).  Synthecon, Incorporated was awarded the R&D 100 Award in 1997, for the development of the Rotary Cell Culture SystemTM with disposable vessels (RCCS-D).

FastTech 50 

FastTech 50 is an annual award sponsored by the Houston Business Journal and local businesses to celebrate the fastest growing technology companies in the Houston area. The FastTech 50 awards are presented to 50 local high-tech businesses that experienced the greatest percentage of revenue growth in the particular year. Top executives of the FastTech 50 are honored at the official awards luncheon in the fall. Winners are also announced in the FastTech 50 focus section of the Houston Business Journal.            
Synthecon, Incorporated was awarded the FastTech 50 Award in the years 2003, 2005, 2009, and 2010.
