Biomimetic liver-tumor organoids

May 13, 2015

Leading tissue engineering researchers at Wake Forest Intstitute for Regenerative Medicine have published a new study in the journal Annals of Biomedical Engineering demonstarting the ability of Synthecon's RCCS to create liver-tumor hybrid organoids. This study was able to show that organoids formed within the RCCS can recapitulate host tissue to better understand colon carcinoma progression, drug suceptibility and resistance.
